— Ash wins trip for exceeding sales

Luana Ash, of Enid, earned a trip to Big Sky, Mont., for exceeding sales objectives for the 2008 sales year as part of The Vernon Co.’s annual Circle of Excellence sales incentive contest.
Ash was one of 52 account executives, out of a sales force of 380, to earn the trip.
This is the eighth incentive contest she has won for outstanding sales achievement. She has been an account executive with The Vernon Co. since 2000 and is a member of the company’s 2 Million Dollar Sales Achievement Club.
The Vernon Co., a fourth-generation family business founded in 1902, manufactures and markets promotional products designed to help other businesses increase sales and improve profits.

Smith elected to banking board

Gordon C. “Bud” Smith Jr., president and chief executive officer of Liberty Federal Savings Bank, was elected to a three-year term on the board of directors of Heartland Community Bankers Association during the association’s annual meeting in Colorado Springs, Colo.
Smith is a member of the association’s federal and state affairs and HCBA-PAC committees. He also serves as a member of the board of the association’s subsidiary, HCBA Services Inc.
Heartland Community Bankers Association represents the savings association industry throughout Arkansas, Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska and Oklahoma.

ADM Milling recognizes employees

Employees at ADM Milling Co.honored for reaching milestone in their employment are Deoral Carr Jr., 25 years; Melisa Foote, 10 years; and Jerry Chapman, 10 years.

Bullis wins Edward Jones’ Pacesetters Award

Rob Bullis of financial services firm Edward Jones recently earned the firm’s Pacesetters award for performance in the first three years of his career.
He was honored at a meeting in Branson, Mo., where he also met with other Edward Jones financial advisers to share ideas.
Bullis was one of 199 financial advisers out ofmore than 12,000 to receive the award.
Edward Jones provides financial services for investors in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom.

Buller to retire Tuesday from Northwest Vet Supply

Carol Buller will retire Tuesday after more than 20 years with Northwest Vet Supply in Enid.
Her duties have included counter and phone sales and bookkeeping for Bob Lohmann, owner.
Buller and her husband, Charlie, live on a farm near Jet. They have four children, 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
