Eva McClanahan will celebrate her 90th birthday with a come-and-go reception for family and friends 2-4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013, at The Commons, 3706 King St., Enid.

Eva was born Sept. 9, 1923, in Drummond, the daughter of Lewis and Florence Woodbury Kaupke.
She married Don McClanahan on Aug. 16, 1945. They were married almost 64 years until his death in 2009. They were both longtime members of First Baptist Church, Enid.
Eva lived in Garfield county most of her life, graduating from Drummond High School in 1941. She continued her education at OSU and Phillips University, where she received her teaching degree. Eva taught her entire career in Garfield County and the surrounding area.
Eva’s children are Danny McClanahan, Drummond, Donna Long and husband, Richard, Winnabow, N.C., and foster son, Gary Scott, Burnsville, Minn. Eva has six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
