Anita Wichert will celebrate her 85th birthday with her children and grandchildren.
Anita was born Sept. 5, 1928, in Ames, the daughter of W.B. and Gurnie Flint.
She graduated from Ames High School in 1946, and attended Phillips University in Enid for one year.
She married Lester Wichert Oct. 19, 1947, in Enid. They made their home on a farm northeast of Fairview until they purchased a home in 1963 in Fairview, at 307 S. 8th, where she still resides.
She is an active member of the Night Owls Home Extension Club and also is an active member of Mennonite Brethren Church in Fairview, where she loves singing in the choir.
Her children are Steve and Carol Wichert of Weatherford, Janice and Ray Harder of Fairview, Christy and Doug Williams of Olathe, Kan., and Rodney and Jarilyn Wichert of Pampa, Texas. She has 17 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
