Leona F. Linn will celebrate her 90th birthday with a reception for family and friends 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 5, 2014, at Central Christian Church, Fairview. Cards may be sent to 711 East Walnut, Fairview, OK 73737. She request no gifts.
Leona was born Jan. 1, 1924, in Cherokee, Okla., the daughter of Dewey and Daisy Crow.
She attended Cherokee schools and graduated in 1942.
She was a member of Central Christian Church, CWF and Ladies Auxiliary. She received her 65-year pin in 2012.
She worked for Smith Produce candling eggs and then Hallren Produce. She also worked for many restaurants until working for the Fairview Fellowship Home, where she retired after 18 years of service.
She married Raymond (Dick) Jinkens in 1944. Seven children were born to this union. She later married Jessie Linn.
Her children are Garry Jinkens and wife Doris of Fairview; Joreta Martin and husband Denny of Kingfisher; Loreta “Babe” Peters and husband Lindell of Enid; Eddie Jinkens and wife Eileen of Canton; Nancy Anthony and husband Cary of Aline; Ronnie Jinkens and wife Kim of Enid; and Donnie Jinkens of Canton. She has 17 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
