Lucille Rogers Deeds will celebrate her 90th birthday with a reception for family and friends 3-5 p.m. Saturday at the Moose Lodge, 302 E. Purdue. She request no gifts. Cards may be sent to 309 W. Hickory, Enid, OK 73701.
Lucille was born July 22, 1923, east of Waukomis, the daughter of Pete and Lula Rose.
She attended school at Pioneer and graduated from Garber High School in 1941.
She and Roland Rogers were married in 1945. He died in 1988. She later married Henry Deeds. He died in 2012.
She worked 26 years for Sears, retiring in 1986. She is a member of New Hope United Methodist Church, the Moose Lodge, is a volunteer at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center and a 67-year member of the VFW Auxiliary.
Her children are Merle and Rita Rogers, Cassville, Mo.; Lanette Gibson, Norman; and Cindy and Larry Smith, Bixby. She has nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
