Maralee was born Nov. 6, 1917, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, the daughter of George and Mollie Kirkpatrick Smith.
She is a 1935 graduate of Kremlin High School and attended Phillips University.
She and Ora “Pete” Lochner were married Oct. 24, 1939. He died in 1990.
She was a homemaker and seamstress until her children were teens, then she worked at the family business, Pete’s Farmers Market, and worked as a cashier at Bestyet and Boy’s Market. She is a member of Christian Church of the Covenant.
Her children are Bill and Candice Lochner and Mike and Ferral McKay, all of Enid, and the late Diana Semrad. She has seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
