PEGASYS will partner with Park Avenue Thrift to sell donated items today through May 10.
PEGASYS will receive a portion of the sales of any item donated in PEGASYS’ name. The sale is a fundraiser for Enid’s public-access television station. Stephanie Wnetrzak, of PEGASYS, said the station no longer does televised auctions.
“We’re using this as an opportunity to sell the remaining auction items. We will get a portion of whatever is sold,” she said.
Anyone taking a donation to Park Avenue Thrift for the auction should specify it is for PEGASYS.
During the PEGASYS board meeting Tuesday, Executive Director Wendy Quarles said she hoped to make $2,000 from the sale.
As part of the sale, Park Avenue Thrift will feature a “Price is Right” game for people participating to guess the price of an item. The top guesser will win a cash prize.
Quarles also told board members PEGASYS had purchased a crane for its cameras with a grant from Enid Com-munity Foundation.
Park Avenue Thrift, 507 S. Grand, is open 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday. The phone number is 233-7275.
