Wagon Train Rendezvous perfect for Enid

Over the holidays I had the opportunity to view the DVD which PEGASYS produced of the Wagon Train Rendezvous which was held in Enid during the Cherokee Strip Celebration. I was amazed at the quality of this film. The camera angles were very imaginative and the editing was terrific. Enid is very fortunate to have a public access station with the high quality of expertise and professionalism of Wendy Quarles and the whole staff at PEGASYS.
While I’m on my soap box, Larry and I visited with wagon owners from a five-state area. Wagons came from as far away as Minnesota, South Dakota, Colorado, some even as far away as Waukomis, and they all said the same thing. They would all come back if this were an annual event. Dr. Charlie Ogle worked extremely hard to get this going for Enid. Let’s not throw it away. What about some organizations stepping up, maybe with Dr. Charlie as supervisor, and make this a national event. This could develop into something really big, bring in a lot of tourism dollars and put Enid on the map. But then again, maybe I don’t understand all I know about it. Keep smiling.
