This unidentified toddler was rescued by railroad workers during the October 1973 flood in Enid. Workers at OG&E, where she was taken, gave her a bath and wrapped her in sanitary rags because they had no clothes for a 2-year-old. The rescuers apparently didn’t catch the girl’s name, and OG&E workers never got a chance to meet the girl’s mother. (Photo courtesy Eugene “Vic” Lippard)
