— Mr. and Mrs. Richard Castle will celebrate their 60th anniversary with family Sept. 20. Cards may be sent to 3126 Hillcrest Dr., Enid, OK 73703.

Richard Castle and Beriece Creecy were married Sept. 20, 1953, at Covington Christian Church, Covington, Okla.

In 1956, after a three-year tour with the Marine Corps, they returned to Enid, where Richard completed his degree in education at Phillips University and began his career in education in Deer Creek, Okla.

In 1958, they moved to Colorado, where he continued teaching and coaching in three different schools. During this time, he received his master’s in administration from Adams State in Alamosa, Colo. He retired in 1987, after 30 years.

Beriece worked 21 years as a bookkeeper at the International Typographical Union, retiring in 1987.

They are active members of Central Christian Church and the Sooner class. They both volunteer at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center and Horn of Plenty.

For 25 years, they spent their winters in Brawley, Calif.

Their children are Debbie Miles and husband Randy, New Albany, Ind.; Donna Moulton, Enid; Dick Castle and wife Erika, Colorado Springs, Colo.; and Doug Castle and wife Beckie, Sayre, Pa. They have 11 grandchildren and are expecting their first great-grandchild in January.
