Mr. and Mrs. Lou Lass will celebrate their 60th anniversary this fall with a family trip to Branson, Mo. Cards may be sent to 3117 Dans Court, Enid, OK 73703.
Lou and LaDonna met when he was in the Air Force and stationed at Tinker AFB in Oklahoma City. They were married Oct. 9, 1953, in Oklahoma City.
After completing his military service and getting his bachelor’s degree in engineering from OU, the couple moved to Minnesota, where he earned his master’s degree in engineering from the University of Minnesota.
Lou retired after 40 years with Honeywell in 1993, and they moved to Enid to be near family and to enjoy the weather for golf.
LaDonna was a realtor in Minnesota for many years.
They are very active at First Presbyterian Church, where they served in a number of groups and roles: as deacons; Lou was an elder; LaDonna currently is moderator of Presbyterian Women. She also is active in PEO and has held many officer positions including president.
Lou has won several senior spelling bees. They both play bridge in several groups.
They have two daughters, Terri and Marie, who both reside with their families in Minnesota.
