— Mr. and Mrs. Harold Pirkl will celebrate their 60th anniversary with family. Cards may be sent to 11606 N. Hwy. 74, Garber, OK 73738.

Harold Pirkl and Goldie Sebranek were married July 19, 1953, at Garber Christian Church. The Rev. Ivan Hansen officiated.

They made their home on a farm north of Garber and have farmed and ranched in the Garber-Billings area for 60 years.

Following graduation, Harold worked from 1950-1953 as the assistant foreman of the Good as Gold Ranch, west of Enid. He was chosen Rotary Farmer of the Year in 2000.

Goldie worked part-time at Garfield County Treasury Office for 20 years and was a substitute teacher. She is a member of the Athenian Club and has performed in the Garber Community Theater.

They are members of Garber Christian Church. He is an elder, sings in the choir and currently serves on the church board. Goldie is a deaconess, CWF president, Sunday school teacher and choir director, and serves on the church board.

Their children are Denie and Steve Niehus, Enid; Cheri and David Bonnett, Hunter; and Kim and Shawn Salmon, Tuttle. They have six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
