Mr. and Mrs. Harold Cooper celebrated their 50th anniversary June 15.
Harold V. Cooper and Marilyn Bailey were married June 15, 1963, at Dover Christian Church in Dover. The Rev. Don Eskew officiated. They have made Enid their home for 50 years.
Both Harold and Marilyn attended Enid Business College, where they started dating.
Harold worked 11 years for Groendyke Transport, Raleigh Bicycle and eight years for Chesterfield Cylinder Co., before going into business for himself in vibration control and balancing motors, working with Enid Electric Motor Service. He retired in 2010.
Marilyn worked for Cansler-Burk Insurance, then 22 years for OG&E Electric Services, retiring in 1994.
They are active members and hold offices in the North Enid Lions Club, Garfield County Genealogists and Antique Auto Club of America, Enid Region.
They have two daughters, Bessie Houk and husband Bob of Enid, and Christy Anson and husband Bud of Oakwood. They have three granddaughters, one grandson and two great-granddaughters.
