R.J. and Xollia Broomfield will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with a come-and-go reception 2-4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, 2013, at the Fair Building on Main Street in Ringwood.

R. J. Broomfield married Xollia Beavers Sept. 1, 1953, in the parsonage of First Baptist Church in Ringwood.
They were both raised in the Ringwood-Ames area. He worked as a heavy equipment operator and in the oil field industry for many years. She works as a caregiver.
They have lived in several states, but Canton has been their home since retirement.
Their children are Rodger and Grace Broomfield, Ringwood; Linda Knight, Perkins; Pete and Julie Broomfield, Longdale; Lisa and Kenny Palmer, Meno; Cheryl and Darrel Mushaney, Yukon; Jodi and Ryan Dobbs, Fairview; Chris and Andrea Broomfied, Edmond. They have 21 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, with two on the way.
