— Roma Siler married Robert Chester Sept. 4, 1948, at the home of the Rev. and Mrs. Robert Smith in Enid. Their attendants were Coraletha Turner and Charles Seapy.

Bob retired from OG&E in 1987 after almost 39 years of service. Roma was employed by Romine and Thomas public accountants for 11 years and retired from Oklahoma Glass and Wallpaper after 18 years. The couple lived in Enid until March 2012.

A reception honoring them will be Sunday, Sept. 1, 2013, at their retirement community, Lake Point Landing, Hendersonville, N.C.

Their children are Lance and Lana. Lance and his wife, Susan, live in Taos, N.M., and went on a cruise to Alaska with Bob and Roma to celebrate their 50th anniversary. Lana and her husband, Steve Hendershott, live near the couple in Hendersonville. The Chesters have one grandson, Travis Hendershott, of Falls Church, Va. He will be attending the reception with wife, Emily, who will be providing a special cake. Several family members also are expected from Oklahoma and Illinois.
