Mr. and Mrs. John Clausing will celebrate their 50th anniversary with a reception for family and friends 2-4 p.m. Sunday at Enid Symphony Center. Cards may be sent to 325 N. Cimarron, Enid, OK 73703.
John Clausing and Lois Cowan were married June 28, 1959, in Coffeyville, Kan.
He taught English at Enid High School, retiring in 1992 after more than 27 years. He also announced football and basketball games for 25 years and was known as “Voice of the Plainsmen.” She taught first grade at Monroe Elementary School, retiring in 1996 after more than 34 years.
They are active in the Republican Party, where she was a delegate to the national convention this past year.
Their children are Debbie and James Mueller and Tracy and John Anderson, all of Enid. They have five grandchildren.
