ENID, Okla. — Nickel Quarter Horses, of Aline, attended the Adequan Select World Show held Aug. 27 in Amarillo, Texas.

The Adequan Select World Show is put on by the American Quarter Horse Association and is supported by exhibitors from all over the world. Some of the largest owners come from Germany and Mexico.

Nickel Quarter Horses showed NQ King Arthur, a young colt that placed second in the Super Select Division and received Top 5 World Honors.

“Going into the show, we knew it would be tough, because our colt was 60-80 days younger than the other weanling horses,” said Danya Nickel. “This is big, because the 60-80 days age difference is when growth, hair coat and definition really start to improve.”

“We now have started a third generation horse operation with the help of our newest trainers, Hayden, Reed and Oakleigh,” Nickel said.
