Grain sorghum tour is Tuesday

ENID, Okla. — A tour of the double crop grain sorghum hybrid plot will be Tuesday at the James Wuerflein farm.

The tour starts at 9 a.m.

Location of the plots from the intersection of U.S. 412 and Oklahoma 132 west of Enid are: Go four miles north to Phillips Road and then 13⁄4 miles west to the plots on the north side of the road.

The program will include: grain sorghum growth and development in a double crop production system, Rick Kochenower, Oklahoma Cooperative Extension Service area agronomy specialist; insect management for double crop grain sorghum, Tom Royer, integrated pest management coordinator; and grain sorghum market outlook, Rodney Jones, associate professor of ag economics.

Coffee and cookies will be provided.
