Garber FFA members place at county show

ENID, Okla. — Garber FFA members recently competed at the Garfield County Fair Livestock Show.

Results were:


Kaley Stowers, Class 4 Berk, first place, and Class 3 Spot, fourth, place; Lakan Light, reserve champion guilt, and Class 3 commercial first place; Braden Alwert, Class 1 Duroc, third place, Class 1 Hamp, first place; Errika Hughes, reserve champion Duroc gilt; Cassidy Stowers, Class 1 Poland, third place, Class 2 spot, fifth place; Madison Deeds, Class 1 Poland, fourth place; Jessica Cinnamon, Class 2 Spot, third place; and Emilee Hughes, Class 3 Spot, second place.

Market hogs

Tyler Hatch, champion Berk, and Class 2 Hamp, second place; Braden Alwert, Class 2 Duroc, first place, and Class 1 Hamp, second place; Emily Cinnamon, Class 3 spot, first place; and Jessica Cinnamon, Class 2 cross, third place. Lakan Light received senior showmanship.


Kellan Hostetler, champion Southdown, Class 3 Hamp, second place, and Class 2 cross, second place; Braden Schovanec, grand champion lamb, champion Suffolk, Class 3 cross, second place, and Class 5 cross, second place; and Halie Schovanec, reserve champion Suffolk. Braden Schovanec also received senior showmanship.

Doe goats

Layton Heitfeld, Class 1, fourth place, and Class 2, third place; Sierra Sumner, Class 4, third place, Class 7, fourth place, and Class 11, second place; Kami Oller, grand champion doe, reserve champion Division 3, and Class 5, second place; Brooklan Light, Class 5, fourth place; Katie Allen, Class 5, sixth place, and Class 7, fifth place; Halie Schovanec, Class 6, second place, and, Class 9, third place; and Braden Schovanec, Class 8, second place.

Market goats

Halie Schovanec, grand champion wether goat; Kami Oller, reserve grand champion wether goat; Braden Schovanec, Class 4, third place; and Garret Heinrich, Class 4, fifth place, and Class 5, first place. Braden Schovanec also received senior showmanship.


Brooke Wessels, reserve champion Chianina; and Jarred Strate, reserve supreme heifer, and Class 1 commercial, second place. Brooke Wessel also received senior showmanship.
