Pollard Farms LLC, of Waukomis, is ranked sixth largest in registering the most Angus beef cattle in Oklahoma, according to American Angus Association.
Pollard Farms recorded 325 head of Angus with organization during fiscal year 2013, which ended Sept. 30, said Bryce Schumann, association chief executive officer.
Angus breeders across the nation in 2013 registered 388,822 head of Angus cattle.
“Our year-end statistics continue to demonstrate strong demand for Angus genetics and solidify our long-held position as a leader in the beef cattle industry,” Schumann said. “These results underscore our members’ commitment to providing genetic solutions to the beef cattle industry.”
American Angus Association is the nation’s largest beef breed organization, serving more than 25,000 members across the United States, Canada and several other countries.
