Garber students compete in livestock judging contest at Tulsa State Fair

ENID, Okla. — Garber FFA members Kami Oller, Jessica Cinnamon, Madison Deeds, Halie Schovanec, Sierra Sumner, Daniel Parks, Braden Schovanec, Kellan Hostetler and Tyler Schnaithman competed Oct. 5 in the Tulsa State Fair livestock judging competition, where they judged sheep, cattle and swine.

High individuals were Schnaithman placing ninth out of 238 competitors in the senior FFA division. The Garber teams also did well. In the junior FFA division, the Garber junior team, consisting of Cin-namon, Halie Schovanec, Deeds and Sumner, placed eighth out of 69 teams. In the senior FFA division the Garber senior team, consisting of Schnaithman, Hostetler, Braden Schovanec and Oller placed sixth out of 65 teams.

Jarred Strate was selected to be vice president during the opening ceremonies of the Northwest District Chapter Officer Leadership Training (COLT) Conference.

The COLT Conference was held at Cherokee Strip Conference Center in Enid on Sept. 25.
