Garber FFA hosts, participates in contests

ENID, Okla. — Garber FFA hosted the Enid P.I. opening ceremonies and Greenhand quiz contest Oct. 15 at Garber High School.

Along with hosting the contest some FFA students from Garber also participated with success. In the Greenhand quiz contest, Braden Alwert placed dirst in P.I. and advanced to the state contest. Along with the Greenhand quiz and opening ceremonies contests there was a creed speaking contest in which Brooklan Light placed first.

 The Garber Chapter also had two opening ceremonies teams place at the contest. The eighth-grade team placed third. This team consisted of Josh Beebe, Brett Severin, Izzy Plunkett, Emily Cinnamon, Cailin Cinnamon and Gavin Warner. The ninth-grade team placed fifth. This team consisted of Brooklan Light, Halie Schovanec, Madison Deeds, Dustin Nagel, Sierra Sumner and Kaley Stowers.
