OGFA annual meeting set for May 6-7

The 110th annual meeting of the Oklahoma Grain and Feed Association will be May 6-7 in Oklahoma City.
The event will begin at 9 a.m. May 6 with a golf-for-student scholarships event at Rose Creek Golf Club, followed by the chairmen’s legislative reception honoring 2007-08 OGFA Chairman Mike Cassidy (Cassidy Grain Co., Frederick), all past chairmen and the state Legislature beginning at 5 p.m.
OGFA officers are: first vice chairman, Kirk Burgess, State Line Grain Co., Manchester; second vice chairman, Rick Ahrberg, Ahrbert Milling Co., Cushing; and president, Joe Neal Hampton, Enid. Directors are: Kenneth Hahn, Planters Co-op Association, Lone Wolf; Dan Hubbard, Stillwater Mill-ing Co., Stillwater; Mike Mahoney, Wheeler Brothers Grain Co., Watonga; J.L. “Butch” Meibergen, Johnston Enterprises, Enid; Jerry Morlock, ADM Milling Co., Enid; Kent Prickett, Farmers Grain Co., Pond Creek; and Joe Royster, Dacoma Farmers Co-op Inc., Dacoma.
The meeting will begin at 8:30 a.m. May 7 with “Pitfall of Producer Forward Grain Contracts,” presented by Doug Jackson, attorney at Gungoll, Jackson, Collins, Box & Devoll, and “Acreage Wars Year Two and the Fund Effect,” presented by Joe N. Chris-topher, general manager of Crossroad Commodities.
